Being “Out West” is more than just playing Cowboy. It’s early mornings in the saddle, big mountain skies that make you feel small in the best way, dust on your boots, and laughter around a fire after a long day’s ride. It’s a way of life that helped shape America — and it’s still alive and well at Dude Ranches across America.

For the past 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of documenting these ranches through my camera lens — the grit, the grace, the quiet moments, and the wild-hearted ones. Every ranch tells its own story, but they all share that unmistakable spirit: a little dirt under your nails, the smell of horses and leather in the air, and the feeling that you’ve stepped into something authentic!
